Earlier last week I spent a night away where I treated myself to a few good meals. My main captures from this week were during a lunch by the lake in Skaneateles, New York. It was a bright and sunny day, but the wind made the blue water a bit violent. The lake was violent like the sea, and you could say that we were inspired by this to have a seafood lunch. The lady chose a sushi starter followed by a Lobster Roll (pictured for the banner) and I went with some Lobster Bisque (pictured below) before having a BLT Scallop Roll. Both were delicious and presented well.
I have a lot of travel coming up this year, and one thing I'll be working on is capturing the story around meals if there is one to tell. I didn't do that this past week when I focused mostly on the food and textures of what was presented. Room for improvement on the next night away to continue challenging my captures and story telling with these images.
