Photo challenge participant Alejandro Mallea recently concluded an 11-day roadtrip covering 3,282 miles. During this trip he visited six National Parks, and I have to say, I am quite jealous. In the United States, the National Parks are landscape crown jewels that are preserved so all may experience these special places. I've always wanted to go out west to see them (and photograph them) with my own eyes.
Alejandro had this to say about his trip and the entry he chose:
It was very hard to choose, because some of the scenes in the deserts of Utah were incredible, but I was very captivated by the stillness of the water and the reflection when we visited this park very briefly (the whole park is closed except by this viewpoint, and you still have to climb over several feet of snow to be able to see).
