This week's category I had predicted would be filled with shadows in nature, and you delivered. I went camping in the Adirondack Mountains last week where I was surrounded by the shadows of the forrest. My hike had areas that looked similar to what Greg McMillan submitted. One of the challenge participants, Alejandro, submitted a fantastic image he took in Mount Rainier National Park that you can view as part of this round-up.
All-in-all, I feel most comfortable making images in nature of various landscapes. The subject doesn't move, doesn't talk back, you don't need to pose it, you can't really style it, so on and so forth. The people I've spoken to about the challenge have been pushed outside their comfort zones and continued to improve as photographers with new and challenging themes. I am glad to hear that, but for now let's look at this past week's shadows.
These weekly round-ups will go live on Monday mornings, and subscribers can receive them directly to your inbox. You can subscribe for free and opt-in for the weekly challenge tips that will be sent out mid-week to guide you.
Here is the week 28 round-up for "Shadows" as we kick off week 29's theme of "Candid."
