Being the person behind the camera usually means that one does not have a lot of photos of themselves. This week I aimed to change that and take a self-portrait for the challenge. I don't usually like the photos taken of me. Those who are photographed for a living usually have a way they like to be captured, and you are no exception. Angles, framing, the right moment to press the shutter to capture that look, it all matters for how we choose to like a photo of ourselves or cast it away.

This week I captured an image I actually liked of myself. I turned 33 back in February and wanted to capture, well, me at 33. Mission Accomplished as I truly liked the image I captured of myself.

One of the other participants, Alejandro, decided to use some inspiration by modeling his self-portrait after Jean Reno in the movie Nikita. I applaud the approach to seek inspiration and attempt to replicate the style. He captured a fantastic image and even made a video for behind the scenes (note: it is in Spanish). Be sure to check it out.
